Horse drawn turnip planter manufactured by Pierce of Wexford. Plants one row at a time and pulled by a horse. The horse drawn seed planter was invented by Jethro Tull in 1701 - one of the first inventions as part of what is now known as the Agricultural Revolution.
Pierce Foundry in Wexford was in operation from 1839 to 2002 and in its earlier days was one of Ireland's largest employers.
