Homework Policy
Homework is a tool used to reinforce concepts learned in class, promote responsibility, and provide a connection between school and home. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of our classroom Homework Policy.
When is homework assigned and when is it due?
· Homework is assigned daily
· Homework is due the following day unless otherwise specified
What are the responsibilities of my child?
· Work should be neat and organized
· All work must be displayed for the assigned problems
· Homework should be brought to class on time
What if my child is having trouble with the homework assignment?
· Look back at class notes and classwork
· Ask a friend, sibling or adult at home
· Use resources found on the class website (i.e. helpful videos, completed classwork, HW guide)
KNOW WHEN TO STOP!!
· Homework is not worth crying over! If you utilized your resources and something is still too hard, please send me a message and sign the incomplete question or assignment.
What happens if my child does not complete their homework?
· Each homework is worth 1 point. For each missing homework, a point will be removed from the homework grade for the quarter.
· A Homework Dilemma Form will be completed by the student explaining why the homework was not complete.
