Everyone gives there kid Tylenol! I do... but not anymore.
The body increasing heat is critical to the immune system to fight off infections.
If by chance, your child is 105, then you should actually be going to the doctor.
But, different proteins are created when your body is hotter than normal, this helps fight infections.
Takes longer to get over an illness

I am taking a course on Immunology taught by a Rice professor, and she was against Tylenol or Advil (fever reducing drugs). She told a story of how turtle when fighting an infection get out of the water and bake in the sun and do not come down until they feel better.
Now, i understand, when you feel the chills from a fever... your body is telling you to get warm for a reason. I was always under the impression I should be doing the opposite... which really does not make any sense! Basically do what your body is telling you to do.
