Collaborative Relationships

The competent teacher understands the role of the community in education and develops and maintains collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents/guardians, and the community to support student learning and well-being.

Collaboration with your team, staff and throughout the district if vital for an effiecent flow of consistency of lessons and guidelines. Your investment of communication and professional releationships outside of your classroom is what helps us run our classroom more efficiently. We need to feed our students and the community with cognitive and versitile information, while understanding a mindfulness in those procedures. Promoting community spirit that benefits the school population and incorporates social emotional behavior in our learning and daily correspondence. Standard 8 is about the overal umbrella of the educational institution, it reminds us that we are only one of the organizations in the community, but a very benifical and immpressionable establishment when it comes to molding good practices.

Parent teacher conferences take a lot of preparation, but it really is the binding of the family and student body with the teacher as the middle person. This can be a very impactful moment for both parties a meeting of the minds to formulate a better understanding of everyones participationd and long-term goals for the student. It sets the tone and irons out some wrinkles for the remainder of the year when good conversations are conducted about the students learning and well-being. Standard 8F guides us to remember that the information families share is done in a sacred place, we need to respect and promote benefical outcomes for their future needs. Listening and promoting district services as well as being an informant of problem-solving for that family in need, when it comes to interventions, testing, modifications in the room, or school. Utiilize our collegies and system to encourage and promote support so that no child is left behind. We may have to break down barriers to provide that neccessary support but as long as it is ethical and honorable the conflict should be minimal in order to rectify some resolutions in the long-term. We should remember that we are here to promote individual instruction as best we can and with the correct team in place implentation should be supportive and seamless through the students school terms. We are here to support these students to be good citizens and carreer opportunists in whatever creative aspect that makes them shine.
