As a professional public servant you perform best practices and review knowledgable materials, being aware of ethical guidelines at all times when it comes to the saftey of our learners. Standard 9 practices keep us cognisant and aware of our duty in protocol, initial or medical response in emergency situations. Keeping up to date with all the mandatory juristrications in your state and within your district, when it comes to the knowledge of childrens saftey and well-being. Having a good relationship with all staff and medical team to know of current and continous changing situations.
Being a competent teacher envolves professionalism both in and outside the room. Modeling honesty, respect and effective responsices within your community while always consious of improving how we can improve our practices to better our students growth and wellness. Partner with organizations to become more in tune with the changing culture of current affair, teachers best practices, technology and mentorship. Professional development is a great way to incorporate new ideas into our personal growth as teachers. Teachers are all leaders and coaches so it is important to be skillful yet proactive in improving our mastery in our profession each and every day. Surround yourself with postive leaders and team members, it will resinate throughout the students soul and into their bright futures. Make each day a brighter than the next.
I dedicate this song to my daughter, Cara, and all her 2020 graduated high school equals around the world, who missed out on their senior year graduation. Instead, after viewing all their names being announcements virtually on their home computers, the families rang cowbells, banging pots and pans out in the neighborhoods and community.
