Reading, Writing & Oral Communication

The competent teacher uses knowledge of effective written, verbal, non-verbal, and visual communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom.

Putting all the Pieces Together

Standard 6 states the foundational knowledge of reading, writing, and oral communication with the content area and recognizes and address the student's needs to facilitate the acquisition of content knowledge. Building upon the readers background and experience, and the informative purpose of the text.
