Instructional Delivery
The competent teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage student's development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and performance skills.
Instruction Planning
Standard 5 states, (5D) understands disciplinary and interdisciplinary instructional approaches and how they relate to life and career experiences. A student needs to know the purpose of the lesson to motivate continuous rigor and embedded individual enthusiasm to obtain growth in learning. This can be gained by initially engaging the students with differentiated instruction with a variety of materials, technology and resources to build a foundation. Using relevant strategies to facilitate diverse learning and maximize their engagement and build independent interest to stand alone once they have developed the concept. Modifications can be made throughout the unit by grouping similar students or a variety of students during different classroom projects, this adjustment can promote relationship performances within our classroom.
Using the cumulative student data I will adapt strategies within the lessons to reach all learners to encourage critical and creative thinking. In the instructional process I will elaborate where the relevance correlates in their own lives to boost their investment in their studies.
