A relatively small community with a population of about 3,200, Marlborough Township is largely rural and unspoiled and remains protected by ordinances that promote responsible development. Large areas are permanently preserved as Open Space and will remain forever green. The Township works to sustain the character and lifestyle treasured by residents and visitors while respecting the rights of property owners.

Current Issues

Public Notice  - The proposed 2016 Marlborough Township Budget is available for public review at the municipal building at 6040 Upper Ridge Road, Green Lane, PA during office hours Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except observed holidays. Click here to view a summary of the proposed budget. No tax increases or reductions in services are proposed.   The Board of Supervisors will consider adoption of the final budget and tax levy resolution during their monthly meeting on December 9, 2015.  The meeting will be held in the municipal building at 7:00 PM.

Pest Alert - Spotted Lanternfly - This invasive pest has been discovered in the local area.  It is native to China, India, Vietnam and Korea where it has become a major pest.  The insect attacks many hosts including grape, apple, stone fruits trees.  Early detection is vital for the protection of Pennsylvania businesses and agriculture.  Please follow the link to see the species and find out what can be done.  

NEW Building and Zoning Office Hours - The Zoning and Building Code Officer will be available from 12:00 - 4:00 PM on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month during the months November thru February.  Should you require assistance any other time call John Stine at Technicon Enterprises at 610-286-1622.
