The inalienable natural rights and freedoms of man include but are not limited to -
Life (shelter / forage / cloth)
Liberty
Speech
Association
Travel (roaming)
The right to speak your mind freely is governed by your responsibility to accept the consequences. This responsibility is not borne from the right but from self preservation.
The quote "With great power there must also come great responsibility" has been misappropriated by 'authority' to engender the belief in the wider population that 'rights come with responsibility' which allows people to accept that if they act irresponsibly those rights can be restricted or rescinded and in so doing relegates rights to privilege.
Speaking your mind, in the past, risked being pelted by the audience if your message was considered unsavoury or inflammatory. Today the ability to 'converse' with the world via the internet has divorced the right from the consequence giving rise to all manner of ignorant and hateful speech.
The 'snow flake' generation has been spawned, prepared to 'take up arms' against anyone they consider to be infringing upon someone else's rights with little regard to whether that 'someone' is offended or not. This army is fueled by moral indignation rather than moral support as they move to the next talking point pushed by spam bots on social media and a belief that self-censorship will save offence with no regard to what agenda that serves. Self-censorship is simply the death of a basic human right, the freedom of speech.
All rights are absent responsibility.
The voice in the wilderness.
