DIGITAL Lab Alumni

Michelle Flynn, PhD, graduated from the Clemson I/O program in August 2020. She is currently an Advisor with SMD, a Press Ganey organization.

Dana Verhoeven, PhD, is currently a postdoctoral Cancer Research Training Award fellow at the National Cancer Institute, in the Health Systems and Interventions Research Branch of the Healthcare Delivery Research Program. Dana’s research focuses on bridging the scientist practitioner gap in healthcare by evaluating organizational factors that impact healthcare team functioning and developing interventions to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes. At NCI, she will support the NCI Multilevel Intervention Training Institute (MLTI) to develop a training evaluation program and will also assist in defining the scope of organizational measures being assessed across NCORP projects.

Dana completed her doctorate in Industrial Organizational Psychology in 2019. As a Clemson DIGITAL Lab member, Dana conducted research supported by numerous funding agencies, such as NASA, NSF, Army Research Institute, and Prisma Health. Her work applies both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess barriers that inhibit care coordination both within and between care teams. Leveraging a multiteam systems perspective, she strives to implement evidence-based practices to enhance team processes and effectiveness across high-stress contexts, such as healthcare.

Nastassia M. Savage, PhD, graduated from the Clemson I/O program in 2019, and is currently the Director of Organizational Assessment and Evaluation at Virginia Commonwealth University. The Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Scholarship, where Nastassia is based, aims to improve clinical effectiveness and education by exploring the ongoing professional development of physicians, promoting collaboration and professional/career development for faculty and others; provide leadership and support to address creative assessment and novel approaches in health care; and develop innovative research to facilitate outcomes analysis and quality improvement.

William S. Kramer, PhD, graduated from the Clemson I/O program in 2018, and is currently an Assistant Professor of I-O Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He has co-authored over a dozen peer reviewed publications and over twenty conference presentations. His research interests include culture, teams, leadership, and adaptation to changes in situational context.

Pamela Farago, PhD, completed her dissertation in the Clemson I/O Psychology doctoral program in 2018. Pam is currently a Chapter Support Manager at The National Society of Leadership and Success in the greater New York City area. In this role, Pam is responsible for coaching student leaders and faculty members nation-wide in implementing a renowned leadership development honor society on their campuses.
