The FBI Denver Division is offering an improvised explosives familiarization class on September 2, 2015 from 8:30am - 3pm. The class has been specifically designed for arson investigators and is limited to 20 people. Training will involve classroom and a range demo and is offered at no charge. Lunch is on your own (you may want to bring your own based on location). The class will be held at the Jefferson County Range (see directions below). The range is located between 58th Avenue and 64th Avenue on the west side of Highway 93. There are two brick walls at the entrance off Highway 93 that say Asphalt Paving Company and Ralston Quarry. Proceed west on the quarry road for approximately half mile. Classroom will be the first building on the north side of the road. Make a sharp right turn and go through the cattle gate. Fairmont Fire/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office classroom.
