Gulf Coast FIRE and Dr. James Quintiere, in partnership with Goodson Engineering and Forensic Investigations Group are happy to be hosting an Advanced Principles of Fire Dynamics training seminar February 3-5, 2016 at the Goodson Engineering Facility, 1500 Spencer Road, Denton, Texas.
This intensive training course offers twenty four hours of tested training delivered over a three-day program and involves an innovative blend of lecture supported by bench scale experiments designed to illustrate and reinforce the learning objectives discussed in the classroom. The experiments will be conducted in a small group format and group results will be summarized and discussed at the end of each session. Seminar topics will include: Science of Math/General Algebra, Heat Transfer, Combustion, Fire Growth, Fire Plumes and Enclosure Dynamics.
This program is designed to allow participants to meet the requirements of NFPA 1033 as it relates to fire science, thermodynamics, fire dynamics, fire investigation, fire investigation methodology, and fire investigation technology and is designed to enhance the professional development of fire investigators, engineers, and firefighters who have a desire to further their knowledge and understanding of fire dynamic principles and concepts as they relate to fire investigation.
The program will run from 8 am - 5 pm daily. Registration will be limited to the first 30 applicants.
