Ladies and gents, here is information about a training that is available if you need your 40 hour fire investigator course. It would incur some travel cost but one of the instructors might be familiar.
40-Hour Fundamentals of Fire Investigation
March 9 – 13, 2015

IAAI Members: $750 USD
Non-Members: $1,310 USD
This 40 hour course is designed to provide the new fire investigator with the prerequisite knowledge necessary to properly determine the origin and cause of a fire and to refresh the experienced fire investigator with his/her current knowledge base as it relates to the scientific investigation of a fire scene. This course provide the basis for the IAAI Fire Investigation Technician designation and was written in accordance with NFPA 1033, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigators. This course meets the requirements in Track-A toward IAAI-FIT designation.
Prerequisites:
· CFITrainer.Net Module: The Scientific Method for Fire and Explosion Investigation
· CFITrainer.Net Module: Understanding Fire through the Candle Experiments
· CFITrainer.Net Module: Fire Investigator Scene Safety
Registration cancellations will incur a $50.00 fee.
Classes begin promptly at 8 am and run through 5 pm.
All meals and breaks are each individual's responsibility.
