Testing your bandwidth (connect) speed from time to time can be really useful. There are lots of sites like this to choose from... this is my favorite.
This is my favorite place to shop for Computer Stuff. They do a really good job providing information to help you make a better purchase decision. Amazon.com PC bits is OK too, but can be a bit confusing and clunky.
The Editor Reviews here are very useful for making purchase decisions.
