1. River Erosion

Let's start with river erosion. There are a lot of rivers round here that flow into the River Ribble, that gives its name to our lovely valley.

2. River Transport

Rivers pick up and carry material as they flow downstream. This is generally called 'silt' and is the result of soil erosion up stream. The river energy carries lighter particles faster than heavier ones.
