Port Dover Scenes

Port Dover is a town in Norfolk County located at the mouth of the Lynn River on Lake Erie. Dating back to the first decade of the 1800's, the community grew up around a grist mill established by Daniel McQueen on the Lynn. Farmers throughout the district brought their grain here to be ground into flour and bought their supplies from the town merchants. Another local industry is fishing, serving as the port for the lake boats. Today, Port Dover is an important market town for the area and a major tourist attraction.
