Introduction: Who was Charles Dickens?

A. chapter 1 Black Cat = pages 1-10 in the original book (until "blind man's bluff")

do the exercises in the graded reader / writing: in 150 words, compare Scrooge and the weather on this Christmas' Eve day, and illustrate the scene with some of the 6 characters and some dialogue.

B. chapter 2 Black Cat = pages 10-20 in the original book (until the end of Stave One: Marley's Ghost)

do the exercises in the graded reader / writing: look for the definition of 30 words of vocabulary and use 10 to write a summary of Stave One.
