Unlike the past today there are lots of geographical information about Renfrew County's 26 public greenspaces that have been designated as ProviParks and Conservation Reserves

Most of Renfrew County is in ecozone 5-E (Georgian Bay Ecozone) and Ecodistrict 5-E11 (Bancroft Ecodistrict) which lists the trees, shrubs and vines likely be found which can be of benefit to landscape artists. Of even greater interests to artists are the 26 Parks and Conservation Reserves in Renfrew County representative of typical natural features found in the County and where the natural features of some such as Matawhatchan Park are described in a way that an artist will find interesting.
