Crosbie Old Family Houses

James and Margaret Caffrey lived in a house in Kavanagh's Court, off Bow Street Dublin, from 1856 till they died in the 20th Century. Patrick and Mary Crosbie lived in Kavanaghs Court from the time they married till Mary moved to 1 Red Cow Lane.

Kavanaghs Court has been levelled and on the site is (taken from Bow Street)

Kish Fish shop and distribution centre. There is a entrance from Brown street, but that entrance is not in the same position as the entrance in the 19th century. However this is the view from Brown Street.

Here is a view taken about 1913 of Kavanaghs Court. At this stage it was derelict. I think the houses facing would have been Bow Street, and on the left Kings Street, but I could be wrong....

Mary Crosbie moved to a property at number 1 Red Cow Lane. Only the sign looks to be on an original building. 1 Red Cow Lane was knocked in 1961.
