Recording a tour from a folder of Placemarks has several advantages.
Simple KML file created
Easy to edit preferences
Quick to change views
Resolves annoying 'hop' when flying that can happen

To create a movie from a folder (review from Record a Tour section above)
1. Create a folder - Right click on the 'Places' menu, and clicking 'Add - > Folder' :
2. Add Placemarks for the views you want to visit - These will be incorporated into the tour. For tips on effective views, check out the Placing views for a tour page:
3. Click on the 'Play Tour' button - This will play through the Placemarks in the folder:
You will see the tour controls come up at the bottom left of your screen, and your tour begin to play.
5. Save the tour to your Places menu - click on the Save icon to save the tour to your Places menu.

You can play your tour by clicking on the tour.
6. Change touring settings to your liking - You can edit the settings in the preferences:
An explanation of the options:
Time between features - how long it takes to get from one Placemark to the next.
Wait at features - how long the tour will pause at a Placemark before continuing to the next.
Fly along lines - If you put a Path in the folder and check this option, the tour will follow the path. If unchecked, it will only view the whole path, then move on to the next feature in the folder.
Show Balloons - when touring, this will show the balloon of the Placemarks as you pass them. These balloons will NOT be recorded in Movie Maker, however.
