Slide Out

There isn't much to preparing the slide out -- just push a button and after a few seconds, we have quite a bit of extra room in the trailer.

We have a "deep" slide out. It extends out about 3 foot. Within the slide are the dining table and a sofa. When the slide is retracted, there is barely enough room to get through the kitchen area, and this makes packing the trailer difficult. But once the slide is extended, there's quite a bit of room.

Whenever we position a trailer in a camp site, we have to ensure there is room to extend the slide. This means making sure there are no nearby trees, posts, electric boxes, etc.

Generally, I stand outside and watch as Donna extends the slide. This isn't really necessary, but it takes only a few seconds and I feel better watching to make sure it doesn't jam or hit something.
