Because I work at both Contra Costa College and Diablo Valley College, and I have extensive experience working with the Springshare suite, I was the ideal candidate for a special multi-campus, grant-funded project which happened over the summer in 2017. Under the guidance of project lead Megan Kinney at CCC, I initiated the Canvas / LibGuides integration using Springshare's "LTI Automagic" tool, tagging guides at both campuses with the relevant metadata so that they show up within each campus' Canvas system. Additionally, I developed a metadata crosswalk to align the names and codes for instructional areas and the LibGuides subject and guide metadata at each campus.
To ensure sustainability, I created instructions for librarians to tag their guides so that they will show up in the Canvas/LibGuides LTI integration.
Finally, I created a promotional video using Camtasia screencasting software to spread the word about the new tool to faculty at both CCC and DVC.
