At the time of writing (August 2025), there aren't any sections of the King Charles III England Coast Path open on the Isle of Wight, but the Island does have a coastal path of its own, albeit one that isn't always terribly close to the coast. When I was on the Island following my niece's wedding in March 2025, I decided to walk some sections of the Isle of Wight Coastal Path, but with the intention of transferring my allegiance to the King Charles III England Coast Path where this route is preferable (and assuming it eventually opens...). Sadly, there is a significant issue with coastal erosion on the Isle of Wight, meaning that some sections of the Isle of Wight Coastal Path are currently diverted inland - and steeply uphill!
On my visit in March 2025, I spent a few days in a cottage in Wellow, near Yarmouth, and while there, I walked around the coast from Yarmouth, via Alum Bay and the Needles to Sudmoor Point, south of Mottistone. I then moved on to a cottage in Shanklin and walked from here around the coast to St Helens Duver. Both sections were lovely, with a good variety of cliffs, beaches, harbours and pretty villages. I returned to the Island in August 2025 to meet my new great niece, and I also managed to walk from St Helens Duver to Ryde and on to Kite Hill, just before Wootton Bridge.
