WPIE-FM

WPIE-FM (107.1 FM "107.1 Pinkie Pie") is a Rhythmic/Dance Hits format station serving the cities of Furry City & Rainbow Dash City, OH. The station is owned by Canterlot Media Inc and has the DJ of Pinkie Pie.

Station History

The station started out as WPTY-FM and was branded as "107.1 The Party" and was owned by iHeart Media Inc. Then in 2001, WPTY changed to WDOG-FM branded as "107.1 Diamond Dogs" playing a rock music format. The station has owner ship of both iHeart Media Inc & Canterlot Media Inc. Then in 2004, WDOG moved to 106.1. For a month 107.1 had nothing on it, but was still owned by iHeart Media Inc. Then in April of 2004, iHeart Media Inc sold the station "107.1" to Canterlot Media Inc and it became WPIE-FM, also gaining its old format of Rhythmic/Dance Hits. To go along with the party format, they hired Pinkie Pie as the main DJ.
