Lemonade Coyote Fwy (I-186) is a short 3 mile freeway with its southern terminus at its parent route I-86 (Southern Tier Exwy). Its northern terminus is at Lemonade Coyote Memorial Blvd (US 44 / NY 26 / CR 177 north) & S. Main St (US 44 / NY 26 / CR 177 south) in downtown TyCloud Village.

Route Description

The freeway starts at exit 101N of I-86 (Southern Tier Exwy). It then comes to exit 2 for NY 17C (Pineapple The Otter Rd). Then the freeway meets CR 17 (Princess Twilight Sparkle Blvd). Then the freeway crosses the TyCloud River via Lemonade Coyote Memorial Bridge. After crossing the river, the expressway ends at Lemonade Coyote Memorial Blvd & S. Main St (NY 26 / US 44 / CR 177)

NY 26 & US 44

For the whole length of the freeway, it also carries NY 26 (NY Route 26) & US 44 (US Route 44). On the southern end of the freeway NY 26 & US 44 continue south across I-86 and onto Timothy C. McCormick Hwy (Which is the start of Furry CR 177). On the northern end of the freeway, NY 26 & US 44 (north) continue onto Lemonade Coyote Memorial Blvd (along with the start of Broome CR 177). NY 26 & US 44 (south) come onto the freeway via S. Main St (Which is the end of Broome CR 177).

Exit List

History

I-186 was only built about a year ago. Before being a freeway, the highway was a 4 lane, surface street named Lemonade Coyote Memorial Blvd (which carried the CR 177 number). It was decided to upgrade the highway to a freeway with all the traffic that was on the road between I-86 & downtown TyCloud Village. When the highway was upgraded to I-186, the Broome CR 177 was shorten back to its current terminus at S. Main St & Kit Hawking Rd (NY 17M).

Name Of Highway

The highway (when it was a 4 lane surface street) was named in memory & honor of Lemonade Coyote, a fursuiter named Timothy C. McCormick.[1][2][3]
