Your content needs to be relevant to the page it is on
SEO is all about what words are on your page,
GoogleBots & WebBots can't read pictures, graphics or Flash
they can only read the source code.

Include the search engine keywords, that you want people to search for you with
Any advertisement on your Business Cards, Mailings or Advertisements should include the keywords you want people to search for you with.
Meta Data, MetaTags & KeyWords
Meta Data - is the data about your data. In case of a Web Page - it is the Data about the Web Page - a Summary of the Web Page of sorts
Description Meta Tag - under 500 words,
the first 100 words are most important because some crawlers don't read past that.
use the keyword terms twice in this description but creatively and honestly.
Keywords Meta Tag - that you want people to search for you with.
put comma between phrases
order matters - put most important keywords first

BackLinking - Other Web Sites that LINK TO YOU
BackLink to you are counted in your SEO
IF the BackLink has a Higher SEO ranking (Good Neighbor) than your Web Site - that is better.
IF the BackLink has a Similar SEO ranking (Neighbor) than your Web Site - that is good.
IF the BackLink has a Lower SEO ranking (Bad Neighbor) than your Web Site - that is OK.
IF the BackLink has a Blocked SEO ranking (Bad Neighborhood) ..................... - that is BAD. Remove your link to this site.
Forming partnerships with vendors you use is a good way to give them a BackLink
AND make them want to link to you.
Link Farm - not a true link - but something you bought - does not have any real meaning to your site, or what your site is about.
Organic Search - there are two kinds of Search Results
Paid Results - advertisers are placed at the TOP of the search - on a tinted background identified with a small "AD"
Organic or Natural Results - from what you searched on - usually the Customers Favorite.
On-Page - Links that are on your site, and link to your site.
Off-Page - Getting other websites to LINK to YOUR Website (Real links and NOT from a paid Link Farm)

By default, LinkedIn gives your profile a wonky URL with a bunch of numbers and letters.
To help clean it up, you can choose a custom URL for your public profile.
This will help Google bring your name up in search, plus it makes you look more reputable
to people searching for someone with your skill set.
To change your URL, go to your edit profile page and scroll to the "Public Profile" section.
Click "Edit" next to the URL to choose a new one.
