Table of Contents - is a way to create LINKS within a Page
When your page begins to get long - you may want to add some links at the top of the page to link to specific spots on the page itself.
You can have several levels - but for this example we will use just HEADER(H2) or in HTML language this is <H2>
On your page - block the text that you would like a LINK TO
Click FORMAT from the menu selections at the top of your page
Select Header(H2)
Do this for as many places as you want listed in the Table Of Contents
Go to the TOP of your page
Click INSERT from the menu selections at the top of your page
Select TABLE OF CONTENTS
Save your page
Now test the links to make sure they all work
Note: This was first discussed in the Introduction to Google Sites in Session 3 - but as your web page grows, you will have more opportunities to use Links within a Page.
As your content grows you may want to add additional Headers beyond H2:
H4 Minor heading ..... This is what an H4 displays like with this page format
