Dr. Xiang teaches Systematic Botany (PB 403/503), which consists of lectures and lab (4 credit), every spring for undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching a course in plant systematics is extremely challenging, as this is a rapidly developing discipline. Dr. Xiang has structured the course content to place emphasis on applying modern techniques to systemics and recent understanding of plant families and their relationships, while introducing basic skills and principles for plant taxonomy.
