New projects funded by NSF

Xiang's lab recently received two new NSF funds. One supports the study of biodiversity, phylogenetics, and evolution of north temperate deciduous forests isolated in eastern Asia and North America. Second one is for working with colleagues at University of Georgia and University of Tennessee on sequencing the genome of the state flower Cornus florida and identifying the genes and genetic variation associated with fungal diseases and resistance in natural populations. The project is funded by NSF in 2015-2017.
