Welcome Kira Lindelof, a new PhD student joining Xiang' lab in the fall of 2019

Kira graduated from University of North Carolina, Ashville in May 2019 in Biology with a BS degree. Her undergraduate research was in population genetics and pollination biology. She is supported by an NSF grant this year to conduct phylogenomic and evolutionary studies of biodiversity in dogwoods.

Kira is currently working the phylogenomics and evolution of the Blue- or white-fruited dogwood group. Soon she will be focus on the phylogeography, population genomics and floral trait evolution of the dwarf dogwood group.
