Descendants of Thomas Sterling Berry (1769-1846)

(4th generation of descent from probable progenitor Thomas Berry I of Castlecuffe, Queens Co.  :-  https://sites.google.com/site/irishberrygenealogy/eglish-berry-tree ) 

1.  Thomas Sterling Berry (son of Thomas BERRY and Frances Berry)  b. 14 June 1769, d. 25 Dec 1846. He was admitted to the Middle Temple on 19th June 1787 and first appears in the Law List in 1791. In 1795 he was appointed Law Agent to Charles William Bury, later 1st Earl of Charleville. In 1801 he was Clerk to the Solicitor General, who was his brother -in-law, William Smith (later Sir William Cusack-Smith 2nd Bt.) In 1804 he was Registrar to Baron Smith (Sir Michael Smith 1st Bt. and father of William Smith) and in 1845 was Clerk to the Attorney General, who was his nephew Thomas Berry Cusack-Smith, the younger son of William Smith (Cusack-Smith). He was Comptroller of the Pipe. He married 1798, Dorothea Homan, d. 1857 (daughter of Rev. Philip Homan of Surock, Co. Westmeath).

                      i      Thomas Berry, b. 1800, d. 1882 of Hume St. Dublin. LLD Barrister (K.I.)  Never married.

                      ii     Philip Homan Berry, b. 1802, d. 1874  M. A.  Rector of Castlelyons. Never married

                      iii    James Middleton Berry, b. 1805, d. 1832  B.A. Never married.
