Iraqi Holocaust & Iraqi Genocide (1990-2011).

This site is dedicated to informing people about the US Alliance-imposed Iraqi Holocaust and Iraqi Genocide that as of December 2011 was associated with post-1990 and post-2003 violent deaths and non-violent avoidable deaths from war-imposed deprivation totalling 4.6 million and 2.7 million, respectively, and refugees totalling 5-6 million – an Iraqi Holocaust (noting that a holocaust involves the deaths of a huge number of people) and an Iraqi Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention (see: http://www.edwebproject.org/sideshow/genocide/convention.html ) which states: “In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: a) Killing members of the group; b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.” The UK, the US and their allies have been variously killing Iraqis since 1914 - there have been 9 million Iraqi deaths from Western violence or Western-imposed deprivation since 1914.

History ignored yields history repeated, holocaust ignored yields holocaust repeated, and genocide ignored yields genocide repeated, noting that “holocaust” refers to a huge number of deaths, and that “genocide” is defined by the UN Genocide Convention as “acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group”. Yet so many holocausts and genocides are ignored. Thus in 1942-1945 the British with Australian complicity deliberately starved 6-7 million Indians to death in Bengal and in adjacent Indian provinces for strategic reasons. However the WW2 Bengali Holocaust, the first WW2 atrocity to have been described as a “holocaust” and contemporaneous with the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million Jews killed by violence or imposed deprivation), has been largely removed from public perception, as have been many other man-made mass mortality atrocities. This lying by omission is far, far worse than repugnant lying by commission because the latter at least permits refutation and discussion. Indeed for the same reason genocide ignoring and holocaust ignoring are far, far worse than repugnant genocide denial and holocaust denial. Of course war is the penultimate in racism and genocidal war is the ultimate in racism.

In the main this book addresses the question of how many people have died in the US-imposed post-9-11 Muslim Holocaust and Muslim Genocide (the post-9-11 US War on Terror), and the short answer is “Lots”. The ghastly 21st century reality is that an estimated 32 million Muslims have died from violence, 5 million, or through avoidable death from imposed deprivation, 27 million, in 20 countries invaded by the US Alliance since the US Government’s 9-11 false flag atrocity (3,000 killed) that numerous science, architecture, engineering, aviation, military and intelligence experts conclude was perpetrated by the US Government itself. However it gets much, much worse because holocaust ignored yields holocaust repeated. The large-scale active and passive killing continues. Indeed each year 15 million people die avoidably from deprivation in an ongoing Global Avoidable Mortality Holocaust on Spaceship Earth with endlessly greedy, neoliberal One Percenters in charge of the flight deck.

Humanity and the Biosphere are existentially threatened by nuclear weapons and man-made climate change, this leading the brilliant Professor Stephen Hawking to state: “We see great peril if governments and societies do not take action now to render nuclear weapons obsolete and to prevent further climate change”. However continuing ignoring and inaction means a worsening Climate Genocide in which 10 billion people will die en route to a sustainable human population of only 0.5-1.0 billion by 2100. Truth and love can yet save Humanity and the Biosphere but we are rapidly running out of time. We must act by informing others and opposing those whose murderous greed, racism and violence would destroy our world. Peace is the only way but silence kills and silence is complicity.

Assuming excess mortality of Iraqis under British rule or hegemony (1914- 1948) was the same as for Indians under the British (interpolation from available data indicate Indian avoidable death rates in “deaths per 1,000 of population per year” of 37 (1757-1920), 35 (1920-1930), 30 (1930-1940) and 24 (1940-1950) (Gideon Polya, “Economist Mahima Khanna wins Cambridge Prize”, MWC News, 20 November 2011: http://mwcnews.net/focus/analysis/14978-economist-mahima-khanna.html ), one can estimate from Iraqi population data (“Iraq Population”: http://www.populstat.info/Asia/iraqc.htm ) that Iraqi avoidable deaths from deprivation under British occupation and hegemony from 1914-1950 totalled about 4 million. Thus ignoring Iraqi deaths associated with the US-backed Iraq-Iran War, but including 4.6 million Iraqi deaths from Western violence or imposed deprivation in the period 1990-2011, one can estimate about 9 million Iraqi deaths from UK or US violence or imposed deprivation in the century after the 1914 invasion of Iraq by Britain - an Iraqi Holocaust and an Iraqi Genocide.

Violent deaths, non-violent avoidable deaths, infant deaths and refugees in Iraqi Holocaust & Iraqi Genocide (1990-2011).

As of 20 March 2011, the 8th anniversary of the illegal US, UK and Australian invasion of Iraq on 20 March 2003, excess deaths from the Iraq War since 2003 include 2.6 million violent and non-violent excess deaths of Indigenous Iraqis (4.6 million since 1990; see:

According to the 2006 Revision UN Population Division data, medical literature data, and other authoritative sources, the Iraqi Holocaust in the Occupation period of 2003-2011 has been associated with 1.2 million post-invasion non-violent avoidable deaths from war-imposed deprivation; 1.5 million violent post-invasion deaths (see the eminent US Just Foreign Policy:

http://www.justforeignpolicy.org/iraq ) ; and 0.8 million post-invasion under-5 infant deaths (90% avoidable and due to gross US Coalition violation of the Articles 55 and 56 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War which demand that an Occupier supplies food and medical requisites to “the fullest extent of the means available to it.” In addition, avoidable deaths from imposed deprivation under Sanctions (1990-2003) totalled 1.7 million, violent deaths in the Gulf War totalled 0.2 million and under-5 infant deaths under Sanctions totalled 1.2 million (90% avoidable an due to US Alliance war crimes) . Iraqi refugees (both inside and outside Iraq) total 5-6 million.

The Iraqi Holocaust and Iraqi Genocide (1990-2011) involves in total 1.7 million violent deaths, 2.9 million non-violent excess deaths, 4.6 million violent and non-violent excess deaths, 2.0 million under-5 infant deaths, 1.8 million avoidable under-5 year old infant deaths and 5-6 million refugees – an Iraqi Genocide according to the UN Genocide Convention definition of “acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group“(see: “Iraqi Holocaust Iraqi Genocide”:

The recent US and US Puppet Iraqi Régime assertions, as reflected in 2008 Revision UN Population Division data, would have us believe that nearly 2 decades of Sanctions, Bombing, War and violent Occupation imposed on Iraq resulted in a steady decline in under-5 year old infant mortality, general death rate and avoidable death rate in Iraq - the US under Obama and the US Puppet Iraqi Régime are involved in horrendous Iraqi Holocaust commission, Iraqi Holocaust denial, Iraqi Genocide commission and Iraqi Genocide denial (see Gideon Polya, “9 January 2010 Formal Complaint by Dr Gideon Polya to the International Criminal Court (ICC) re US Alliance Palestinian, Iraqi, Afghan, Muslim, Aboriginal, Biofuel and Climate Genocides”: http://sites.google.com/site/iraqiholocaustiraqigenocide/9-january-2010 ). .

Since 1990 the US Alliance has imposed Iraqi Holocaust and an Iraqi Genocide as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention (see http://www.edwebproject.org/sideshow/genocide/convention.html ).

Horrendous global deaths from the US Alliance so-called War on Terror.

US president launched the so-called War on Terror in October 2001 by the invasion of Afghanistan a month after the 9-11 atrocity (3,000 people killed). The pathologically dishonest Bush Administration (see: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/23/bush.iraq/ ) alleged that Osama bin Laden was responsible for the 9-11 atrocity but its “official version” of 9/11 had no Iraqis or Afghans involved in the atrocity and indeed the official FBI Most Wanted website does not accuse Osama bin Laden of involvement in 9/11: http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.htm .

While Muslim non-state terrorists are allegedly responsible for the deaths of 7,000 Western civilians in the last 40 years (this including 2,000 Israelis violently occupying Palestinian lands and ignoring the most probable US and Israeli responsibility for the 3,000 people murdered on 9/11), the violent and non-violent excess deaths associated so far with the Bush wars (1990-2009) now total 9-11 million of which post-invasion violent and non-violemt excess deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan total 2.5 million and 4.5 million, respectively (for a detailed accounting see “9-11 excuse for US global genocide. While the terms “holocaust”, “genocide” and “Geneva Convention observance” are precisely defined, the terminology and shocking underlying substance of most of the chapter headings (see below) are overwhelmingly ignored by Western Mainstream politicians, academics and journalists in a process of ongoing holocaust ignoring and genocide ignoring that is far, far worse than repugnant holocaust denial and genocide denial because the latter at least permit refutation and public debate.

This appalling catalogue of human suffering and premature death in the 21st century Muslim Holocaust and Muslim Genocide should be considered in the context of atrocities in the 20th century and earlier. The Epilogue succinctly, quantitatively and comprehensively details deaths from violence and deprivation in man-made famines, holocausts, and genocides from the 19th century Irish Famine, the “forgotten” 1757-1947 Indian Holocaust, and the “forgotten” WW2 Bengali Holocaust to the 21st century Muslim Holocaust, and including the worsening Climate Genocide (Chapters 1, 19 & 21) and the ongoing Australian Aboriginal Genocide that is quantitatively compared with the ongoing Palestinian Genocide in Chapter 16.
