We Need a New Steel Ball
From Michael Francis
When the inaugural Old Capitol Open was postponed due to snow, we chalked it up to not being able to control the weather. Not so, says Michael Francis:
Well, it's not entirely true. You can control the weather, but you have to have steel ball.
It was literally a steel ball. About the size of a baseball, completely indestructible, it had the ability to control the weather. We would bring it with us on all of our trips and if there was bad weather forecast we would just consult the steel ball. We never had a tournament cancelled from 2002-2004. I left steel ball in Iowa for these types of situations, but one of those jackholes from the sizzler years (pretty sure the 2006 team) lost it.
97 Lemming Shirt
From Brian Hunt
Orange and baby blue. Design stolen directly from the game. This was the first year we called ourself ihuc, and this was our mascot--also called an ihuc. Studer wrote a funny bio of the ihuc when we made it to nationals. Back was blank.
