IHUC Captain Brian Gleason passed away in a tragic car accident on January 11, 2008 at the age of 25. IHUC honors his memory with #16 on their sleeves of their jerseys. His goal was to make IHUC an elite national program. Read more about Gleason's impact he has left on IHUC.
Donations to the Brian Gleason Memorial Fund move us closer to our target of $50,000. Once we reach that goal, any interest earned on the principal balance can be used by the program to cover expenses. Instructions for donating to this fund are listed below. Please note that steps 5 and 6 are important to ensure that your contribution is placed into the team account under the Gleason Fund.
1) Visit the GiveToIowa website. This site is operated by the University of Iowa Foundation for secure donations.
2) Type your gift amount into the Hawkeye Fund box.
3) Click Check Out.
4) Click the Memorial Gift option, then click Check Out.
5) In the Gift in Memory of box, write Brian Gleason Memorial Fund and choose No for Notify Next of Kin.
6) In the Gift Instructions box, write "Please attribute to the Ultimate Frisbee Club Fund - account #30-070-233."
7) Click Add.
8) Click Continue.
9) Complete donor and payment information and choose your method of payment. You can either pay online (the site provides instructions) or print the form to send in with a check.
10) Click Check out and follow the instructions specific to your payment method.
