40th Anniversary Celebration - Guest Comments

"Thank you for your invitation to speak at your 40th Anniversary Celebration. It's easy to see why your club has been in existence for 40 years. Your event was well advertised, and the directions, parking info and agenda were well distributed and easy to find. Your meeting location is TO DIE FOR! Your agenda was well planned, well executed and fun! You had TONS of delicious food and friendly, welcoming members with a nice sprinkling of dignitaries. The background music during registration added a touch of charm, the cool ocean breeze thru your balcony doors (overlooking a large pool) is rare in any club! Everyone seemed happy to pitch in for set-up and clean up. Wow! And the energy in your group photo was contagious! Great job, great fun, so happy to be part of your celebration! Carry on for another 40 years! Your club ROCKS!"

"Our 40th Anniversary celebration was a great success!

Kudos to all of you who helped plan this event and for providing the food.

Special thank you to:

• Margaret Yamamoto for coordinating all of the planning

• Marla Kennedy for working together with Margaret and being in charge of the guest list

• Nannette Kazan for serving as our Toastmaster for the evening as well as being in charge of coordinating the food and providing all of the decorations

• Fernando Reyes for coordinating the publicity, giving the invocation and taking photos at the event

• Nathan Liao for providing the music and serving as timer

• Richard Tatunay for providing the extra chairs and projector and serving as the Table Topics Master

• Yoyo Chang for being our interface with the Villa Siena Events Coordinator and helping with the outdoor signs

• Al Gumb for leading us in the pledge of allegiance

• Eric Palermo for reading the mission statement

• Margaret Yamamoto for introducing the club officers

• Richard Tatunay, Nathan Liao and Fernando Reyes for being in charge of set-up and clean-up

We are especially grateful to all of our speakers Faye Kitariev, Ede Ferrari-D'Angelo, and Cindy Carpenter for their passionate and inspirational speeches that made it an event we will long remember and cherish!

We are also very grateful to Irvine Mayor, Dr. Steven Choi, for the beautiful framed certificate from the city of Irvine and especially for his presence with us the entire evening!

A great big thank you to all of our members, past members and honored guests for your presence at the celebration. Each one of you were a special blessing and a unique part of the magic that evening."
