After a good spell of really hot weather in August 2020 the plant has really started to sprout lots of new growth. I wonder if it will flower ?

this is a succulent and not a cactus at all. It may look like a cactus. A native of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It is pretty tolerant to chilly temperatures.
Very low maintenance plant.
