Good Presentation

COMMENTS ON SLIDES:

Slide 3 Well reasoned and thought out argument. Less Text and More Bullet style points will make argument SHARPER and CLEARER. Also, use DESCRIPTIVE and ACCURATE name for slide, rather than vague "INTRODUCTION" for example: Microfinance: Important Tool for Poverty Alleviation in Muslim World.

SLIDE 4: Makes THREE claims, but no source or argument offered.

Slide 5 & 6: Akhuwat & Kashaf

its better to discuss them after objectives.

Slide 7: Objectives

second point. if you want to find the growth level of Akhuwat then i think you can also find the growth level of Kashaf, as you are doing comparative study, so you should find growth level of both institutions.

Slide 8:Literature Review

your literature has tried to establish that islamic microfinance institutions are much better than conventional microfinance institutions. but it is not providing any information in which sense they are better, is it better in terms of earning profits or servicing the people, or in some other sense. secondly your literature is silent on the issue of sustainability and competence. also no discussion on methodology, how people have answered the questions which you want to answer, whether they answered it via qualitative analysis or via quantitative analysis.

also you did not formulate research hypothesis.

Slide 9: significance ==> VERY BROAD CLAIMS

1. By analyzing two microfinance institutions you can not claim about whole financial system, your claim could be generalized for microfinance institutions but not for whole financial institution.

2. instead of financial system you should say islamic microfinance institution

3. fine

Slide 10: Variables ==> it should come after the methodology

Slide 11 & 12: Financial Ratios & Methodology:

you have just copied ratios and methodology without thinking how it would answer your questions. without creating any link to your questions.

This is really a case study. One cannot get conclusions just by studying two institutions because there are SO MANY variables which affect them. It is like using two poinst of data to create a regression line. It is not reliable. The topic is not really viable as such. If we have a collection of Islamic and non-Islamic MF institutions it might be possible to do empirical study. OTHERWISE, here a qualitative study using qualitative research methods is possible. That has its own issues and requirements and yous would have to study a lot to understand how it works.
