The study will use recent data from WDI for the period 1972-2012, incorporating new variables like defense exp. etc not previously used.

It will use a modified public choice model in the analysis which it is hoped will yield robust result that will be reliable and consistent.

The result of the study will help policy makers in allocating resources into this sector, hence addressing the problem the sector is facing.

COMMENTS:

SLIDE 2: TITLE is self explanatory -- (which is good)

SLIDE 3: Dont Waste Time. Presenatation is a SHOW, make it exciting, important, interesting, engaging. WHY should audience pay attention to you? Initial slide/s should present a HOOK -- something which grabs and captures attentionl

SLIDE 4: In general you are talking about education and its importance. BUT these are vague and general points which are part of general knowledge of everbody, and do not seem to be going anywhere, they are unrelated to each other, confused jumble. THE question is SO WHAT?

SLIDE 5: Again general background of no particular relevance. at the LAST point you introduce the TOPIC of reserach. THIS is where you should start. DETERMINANTS OF PUBLIC EXPENDITURE on EDUCATION.

SO FIRST you must establish/explain that Public SPending on Education MATTERS a lot, THERE are MANY ways to establish this. Look at literature on BARRO's who has been arguing tha education is the most important determinant of long run growth. YOUR lit review MUST cover articles which deal with establishing determinants of public sector spending on education

SLIDE 6: Completely UNMOTIVATED, no lit review, no references, no explanations why this model is chosen, why these variables are considered.

SLIDE 7 Hypothesis are TRIVIAL and mostly wrongly conceived. GIVEN a fixed budget if we spend more on one thing we will spend less on other, so there will automatically be a negative relationship between defence and education. Needs to be thought out much more carefully, in context of the literature.

OVERALL -- very poor. not thought out, no literature review is the basic reason for failure to produce decent proposal.
