Slide 3: GOOD clearly defines issue.

Slide 4: Defines HDI -- fine, but mention source for this picture/definiiton.

Slide 5: Gap described with reference to Pakistan. Has such a study been done elsewhere?

Slide 6: Instead of LIT REVIEW, youj should title this as IMPORTANCE of studying HDI. and focus on establishing importance of your research.

Slide 7: Research Question

i think research questions should be discussed after research objectives.

first and second one is fine and sensible, but i dont know how you would access third one?

Slide 8: Objectives are ok. but many issues need more clarfication. What is the approach proposed by UNDP? Actually this is due to Mahboobul Haq. SPDC has most information about HDI. Need to refer to literature. on what has and has not been done. Regarding second and third point. you need to do lit review to see if this has been done here or elsewhere. I think Mahboobul Haq organization has already done a lot of work in this area. Arif Naveed has access to this data, and you should contact him.

Furthermore, similar work has been done in India and elsewhere

slide 9: Policy Implications ==> fine

Slide 10-11: Methodology

you mention how you will calculate three indices,

but your research questions are :

•Are there disparities in human development across the districts?

•What is the impact of the level of public expenditures on human development indices at district level?

•Does these HDI’s have impacts on policy dialogues and decisions?

from these indices you could get answer to your first research question but what about other two?

ALSO, there is VERY little reference to relevant literature. It seems as if you have cooked up the whole research in your own head, which seems hardly likely. You need to provide much more in the way of literature review. ALSO, you need to consult Mahbubul Haq Human Development Center. I have a feeling they have already done most of what you plan to do.
