The International Gastrointestinal Electrophysiology Society (iGES), formerly International Electrogastrography Society will have its annual workshop in conjunction with Digestive Diseases Week 2025.
The 2025 iGES meeting will be held from 5:30pm on Saturday, May 3 at Hotel Indigo San Diego-Gas Lamp Quarter.
On behalf of the Society, we would like to invite you to attend the meeting and submit your abstracts for oral presentations, and possible awards.
Registration
There will be no registration fee.

Visas
If you require a visa, please apply as soon as possible. You can request an invitation letter from Jiande Chen or Leo Cheng.
Abstracts
The abstracts will be reviewed for oral presentations and possible awards; and may be made available on the society website.
Submit your abstracts in word format now via this dropbox link. Abstract format is described below.
The closing date for abstract submission is Feb 16 2025. (DDW abstracts will be announced on Feb 11).

Abstract Format (similar to DDW format)
Titles may not be longer than (around) 255 characters, including spaces. Abstract titles must be fully capitalized.
Authors and Affiliations: Initials Family Name (1), Initials Family Name (2); (1) Affiliation #1, (2) Affiliation #2.
Identify the presenting author with bold font and provide the email address of the presenting author below the affiliations.
Please indicate if the first author will present the abstract in person AND would like to be considered for a Young Investigator Award (only a student, fellow, post-doc or junior faculty, such as assistant professor or instructor is qualified for this award) with a * next to the first author's name.
Abstract text: There is limit of (around) 2,900 characters, including spaces, for the abstract text. The title, authors, affiliations and images and tables do not count toward this limit.
Please include section headings (e.g., Background/Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions)
Abstracts may include a maximum of two images/tables per abstract (this does not count towards the word count).

Alvarez Award for Best Abstract (every abstract qualifies for this award, so you do not need to apply for it)
Robert Stern Award (Best Young Investigator’s Award)

For a Young Investigator Award, please indicate if the first author will present the abstract in person AND would like to be considered for a Young Investigator Award (only a student, fellow, post-doc or junior faculty, such as assistant professor or instructor is qualified for this award) with a * next to the first author's name.

11 Feb: DDW announce abstract acceptance.
16 Feb: Deadline for iGES abstracts
28 Feb: iGES abstract reviewed and scored
7 Mar: Notification of iGES abstract acceptance
3 May: iGES 2025
