Summary and Photos

Thank you for all those who attended the annual meeting of the International Gastrointestinal Electrophysiology Society held on the evening of 6 May at the Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown. Investigators from around the world converged to present and discuss the latest developments in the field of gastrointestinal electrophysiology.

The meeting was opened with a brief speech by the society’s president (Richard McCallum) and vice-president (Prof. Jiande Chen, Johns Hopkins University). A series of 28 oral presentations were delivered throughout the evening on 3 main themes: (i) Electrophysiology of the Gut, (ii) Electrical Therapies for the Gut, (iii) Measurement and Therapies.
