The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands will be hosting the 2014 Workshop on Archaeological Soil Micromorphology in their new building in Amersfoort. Like the previous workshops, most of the time will be reserved for "microscope time".

Presentations

Therefore, presentations will mostly be in the form of posters. There will be room for a limited number (6 max.) of short (10 min.) oral presentations only.

All participants are strongly encouraged to bring along their own thin sections. E.g. slides they are currently working on, that they want to discuss or that may be instructive for other participants.

Excursion

The preliminary excursion programme includes celtic fields, terps (living mounds in tidal landscapes) and the UNESCO World Heritage site of the former island of Schokland.
