Tutorial for Open Golf in Golf Genius

On the main Tashua screen, select “QUICK EVENT SETUP”. Name the Event and select “GET STARTED”.

Select the top level EVENT tab. The left column has the “COURSE DETAILS” so select Tashua and uncheck any other courses. Make sure the course is WHS COMPLIANT (highlighted Green). If not, select “ADD A COURSE” and follow the prompts. Both the non-compliant course (in Red) and compliant course will show up on the list. Go forward with compliant course.

Open the new event “DASHBOARD”

Select “EDIT AS QUICK EVENT” and Select “EVENT SETUP”

Enter the date, “COURSE/TEE” should be Tashua default. “PAIRINGS” as “FOURSOME”. Number of pairings is not important since it will be determined by the number of players. Select “TEE TIMES” (not Shotgun). The other entries aren’t important since they will be set later once the players are loaded. In the “COMPETITION AND SCORECARDS” tab Select “Setup a tournament and optional skins”. Choose “STROKE” and “PLAYER V FIELD”. Then “FINISH”.

From “EVENT OVERVIEW” select “UPLOAD ROSTER FROM SPREADSHEET” to the bench. The roster will be available as a spreadsheet that includes player first and last name, GHIN and default tee.

Under “GOLFERS” select “ACCESS GHIN TO UPDATE HANDICAPS”

Select “EDIT AS QUICK EVENT” and Select “PLAYERS”. From the signup sheet, move the players from the bench, one at a time in the order signed up.

Go to “ROUNDS” and select “EDIT PAIRINGS”.

Select "All Players", then "Apply"

Select "Default Tee" This should give a list of all players with no tee assigned or the same tee assignment for all

Choose White (or Green) to replace the Default Tee

Select "All Players"

Under the tee selection, Select "By Tee", Check "White" & "Apply". This should highlight all the White players.
