On the main Tashua screen, select “CLONE EVENT”. Select the event you want to clone “FROM” from the drop down by typing as much of the name of the event to shorten the choices. From the “NAME”, name the new outing, then “NEXT” to select the date for the next outing and then “CLONE” For the Travel Group, best practice would be to clone from the previous event.
Select the top level EVENT tab. The left column has the “COURSE DETAILS” so select the course and uncheck any other courses. Make sure the course is WHS COMPLIANT (highlighted Green). If not, select “ADD A COURSE” and follow the prompts. Both the non-compliant course (in Red) and compliant course will show up on the list. Go forward with compliant course.
Find the new event in the TKSMC pull-down
From “EVENT OVERVIEW” select “UPLOAD ROSTER FROM SPREADSHEET” to the bench. The Away Group Roster has the most active players. If any new guys express interest in playing in the new outing, go to “EDIT AS A QUICK EVENT” and add them in to the bench.
Under “GOLFERS” select “ACCESS GHIN TO UPDATE HANDICAPS”
Once you have the final list, delete the rest of the players and move the remaining to the “TEE SHEET” with the global command to move everyone
These next two steps are unnecessary when cloning from the previous event. Go to “ROUNDS” and select “TOURNAMENT”. We want “BIRDIES GROSS” , “TWO MAN BEST BALL NET” and “PLAYER LOW NET”. If only one tournament shows up on the list, go to ‘TOURNAMENT LIBRARY” and make sure both are “YES” (Mouse over to toggle NO to YES.) and “AUTO-INCLUDE” is also set to “YES”
If Tournament is missing from library, “ADD NEW TOURNAMENT”, “NAME” Birdies, “STROKE”, “PLAYER VS FIELD”, “OWN BALL”, “HANDICAP” Gross, “RETAIN TIES”, “PURSE & POINTS” None, “SAVE TO MY TOURNAMENT LIBRARY”
Go to “ROUNDS” and select “CREATE NEW PAIRINGS”. If desired, use the “KEEP TOGETHER/SEPARATE” to make that choice. We can only keep a person in each category either together or separate with one other person.
You should now be in the “PAIRINGS” screen. This is where the course/tees/time are selected. Once you select the action you want, scroll down a little and you will see a few options: “SELECT ALL”, and then the course and tees. Do the same thing for the Tee times. I default to 5-minute intervals just to get folks to show on time then save the pairings.
After the Roster is set, “REGISTER” golfers in the APPs tab.
Select “email tee sheet” on the “ROUNDS” tab. This will send an email to all players on the Roster giving them access to the Course on “Game Day”
Again, after the Roster is set, in the “GOLFERS” tab, upload the Roster to a spreadsheet. I create a folder for each of the outings. For any of the golfers who had not previously shown up in Away Group starting roster, copy their detail line and add it to the Starting Roster for next time.
Next Steps are to prepare for the on-course GG app
Go to “ROUNDS” and under the Portal & Mobile app tab: Select “SHOW PAIRINGS IN EVENT PORTAL” and “ENABLE MOBILE SCORE ENTRY”. A pop-up asks “select a tournament to show the Playing Handicap™ and strokes (dots) in the mobile app” select “Two Man Best Ball” and “SAVE”.
You can add Blinds from here or from the Pairings. Mouse over the empty slot and, since you see the HI for each player, you can pick a blind from the list that matches as closely as you can to make the total for the threesome match the total from the foursomes.
To get the tee sheet set up go to “BASIC REPORTS” and select “TEE SHEET”. Add whatever language you like about which holes CTP and who places and who picks up and saves it. It will automatically show up in the app once the round is started (which you do the night before by choosing “IN PROCESS”.
Once the round is completed go back to “ROUNDS” and the Portal & Mobile app tab, select “COMPLETED” and under “PAIRINGS & SCORING” select “POST SCORES TO GHIN”.
