Manager of Month Guidelines

General Guidelines for Managers of the Month (MoMs)

(except as modified by specific tournament instructions)

·       The Notice and Sign-Up Sheets (“SHEETS”) will be provided via email or in person to the MoM(s) by the Event Coordinator (TBD) at the TKSMC monthly meeting one month before their tenure. At least one MoM is required to be at the monthly meeting 45 minutes prior to meeting start in order to transfer the “SHEETS” to the controller (TBD) of the sign-up process. At approximately 30 minutes prior to the meeting start Volunteers can sign-up themselves along with one additional member. When the Volunteers have completed their Sign-Up, the “SHEETS” will be available to the rest of the members

·       After the Meeting is adjourned, The MoM(s) shall collect the “SHEETS” and post them at Tashua on our Senior’s Board outside adjacent to the Starters Window. All “SHEETS” must be posted no later than Noon the Wednesday after the Meeting.

·   After approximately two (2) weeks or when the Sign-Up Sheet is full the MoMs shall enter the Sign-Up info into Golf Genius (See tksmc.org for a slide presentation on the process of generating the Tee Sheet). The MoMs shall Track any additions, deletions and finalize 1st cut of Tee Sheet showing tee times and pairings no later than Noon on the Thursday a week before the scheduled event and transmit the Golf Genius Tee Sheet to the membership via email tksmc@googlegroups.com

·    Manage change requests that come in via emails and update Golf Genius, sending daily updates, approximately at 8PM before going Final on the Monday, 8PM, prior to the Event

·       MoMs shall obtain the scorecards to be used for each Event

·     MoMs shall arrive at golf course 30 minutes prior to scheduled event to prepare for check in of participants.

·       Check in participants and collect entry fees using Tee Sheet List.

·  Distribute scorecards for ABCD’s, Majors, Boards and Member/Member events. No scorecards are created for Open Golf.

·       At conclusion of event, review scorecards for accuracy, properly signed, time stamped and attested. Determine winners and check to make sure that winners have entered accurate scores into GHIN Computer.

·       MoMs are empowered to disqualify members for inaccurate and/or improperly completed scorecards. For example: incorrect score addition, scorecard not signed and/or attested, wrong score entered in GHIN computer, and/or score not entered in GHIN computer upon completion of the round.

·       Count and total the entry fees and turnover to Pro shop prior to your round starting. The Treasurer will pick up after his round.

·       Determine the winners and prize money utilizing the appropriate prize money distribution tables, as a guide. Ties shall be resolved via the Tie Breaking Procedure, below. Prepare a listing of winners and prize money and forward to membership via tksmc@googlegroups.com.

·     Advise Golf Committee Chairman of any No Shows, slow play or disqualifications via emails.

·       Bundle scorecards when finished and place in scorecard box for Handicap Chairman

·       Publicize all good news i.e., hole in one, score lower than age etc. via Google groups

·     In the event of a rain out of a Memorial Tournament or Flight Tournament, confer with the Tournament Manager, in order to reschedule.


NOTE: Managers of the Month are empowered to disqualify members for inaccurate and/or improperly completed scorecards.  

Examples are:  incorrect score addition, scorecard not signed and/or attested, wrong score entered into the GHIN computer and score not entered into the GHIN computer upon completion of the round.
