Tutorial for Bi-Club

 Bi-Club Golf Genius Tournament Set-up

(STEPS #1 thru #8 will be done twice, once for each club)

STEP #1: Select "Quick Event Set-up"

Select the “top” Event tab

Select "Customer Settings" to set the course

Select Edit as a Quick Event

Set the Event Date

Set "Tashua Default Tees"

Select "Pair Group Size" -twosomes. (For 60 players, select 30 players)

Select "Shot Gun". (Ignore starting tees for now) Skip "Competition & scorecard" for now

STEP #2: Select "Players" Previously, create a spreadsheet that has First Name, Last Name and GHIN ID and Tee for each player

Select "From Spreadsheet" and choose that file (all players are now in/on the tee sheet) albeit without handicap index. Select "Finish" to save

STEP #3: Go to "Golfers" Select "Access GHIN to update Hl" and choose "Update"

STEP #4: Go to "Rounds"

Select "Edit Existing Pairs"

Set Course & Tee

Select "All Players", then "Apply"

(Set as Default Tee)

Select "Default Tee" This should give a list of all players with no tee assigned or the same tee assignment for all

Choose White (or Green) to replace the Default Tee

Select "All Players"

Under the tee selection, Select "By Tee", Check "White" &

"Apply". This should highlight all the White players.

Save Pairings

Now Select Green, Select "All Players"

Under the tee selection, Select "By Tee", Check "Green" & "Apply". This should highlight all the Green players.

STEP #5: Go To "Rounds" "Create New Pairings", "Automated", "AB" & "Optimize for ...Balance HI" and “Next” then “Continue”

STEP #6: Go to “Rounds” then “Report Center” then “Spread Sheet Composer” then “AB Pairings” and Choose “Download” (This saves the Pairings for each club) with GHIN. Simplify the column headings to “First Name”, “Last Name”, etc. Add a column “Team Id” after each player column and assign to each pairing.

STEP #7: Move the second player list to below the first player list repeating the Team Id

and sort on last name.

STEP #8: Open the Input Roster that has GHIN and tee and copy entries to align with the names. Then remove the redundant columns leaving an alphabetical list with tee and team Id.

STEP #9: Repeat for the second Club

STEP #10: Copy both club's spreadsheet contents, removing extraneous columns, onto a new spreadsheet and sort on “Team Id”

STEP #11: Upload the now combined spreadsheet to GG in the following format 

STEP #12: The result will not have the course and tee. Proceed to use the approach outlined in Step #4.(It will save a step if the raw data didn’t use two different ways to identify the tee (wht, White)

STEP #13: Proceed to run all the requisite reports
