The society organises trips to visit places of interest, exhibitions and conferences. Members pay for shared transport and any entrance fees as appropriate - with the society obtaining group discounts wherever possible.

It looks like many of the shows and exhibitions members would normally visit are not being held this session due to Covid-19. We'll keep a look out for events that are being staged and post them here.

TBD - International Astronomy Show

The International Astronomy Show was inaugurated in 2013 and proved to be a great success - including a visit by HAS members. The next show will be held on TBD.

The show is held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire (CV8 2LZ) - the old site of the Royal Agricultural Show.

TBD - European Astrofest

European AstroFest is the world's premier space conference and exhibition, bringing together the professional and amateur communities. AstroFest will once again take place at Kensington Conference and Events Centre, London.

Saturday 11th March 2023 - 9am-5pm - Practical Astronomy Show

We are planning to visit this new show which is free to enter and offers a series of free talks about practical aspects of astronomy supported by displays from leading vendors. Aimed at all levels of knowledge, the show will cover all aspects of practical astro-photography and visual astronomy.

The show is hosted at Kettering Conference Centre and will run 9:30am - 5pm. See here for more information.
