Canada Opoly
Computer Project: Canada..."Opoly"! Grade 9 Social Studies
Part A - Properties: On the Internet, find a list of all the Monopoly properties and values. Using a Word document, copy and paste those properties and change their designation to titles that pertain to your version of Canada…“Opoly”. You must create property cards for your properties.
For example: Monopoly - Canada…“Opoly”
Park Place (Dark Blue) $350 (change to) Manitoba $350
Boardwalk (Dark Blue) $400 (change to) Lake Ontario $400
Part B - The Game Board: Download (or find one on the Internet) the game board template. Transfer that template into Photoshop Elements 11 and create your version of the Canada…“opoly” game board.

Part C - Chance Cards: On the Internet, find a list of Chance Cards. Using a Word document, copy and paste the Chance Cards and change their designation to cards that pertain to your version of Canada...“Opoly”.
For example:
Pay school fees of $150 (change to) Pay red light traffic camera fee: $250
Part D - Community Chest Cards: On the Internet, find a list of the Community Chest cards. Using a Word document, copy and paste the Community Chest cards and change their designation.
For example:
Pay school fees of $150 (change to) Go to Provincial Jail – Two Years Less a Day
Part E - Game Pieces: Complete 8 game pieces either on Sketch-up or PhotoShop Elements 11. They should be a representation of Canada in some way – for example: a game piece that looks like the CN Tower.
Part F- Rules: Write the rules for your version of Monopoly. You can use the original game rules as a guideline.
