Helpful Tips
· Order boxes in advance to have available when changing lights. Have the disposal box on-hand and the box of new lamps when changing the lights. One dead lamp in the disposal box, one out of the new box and into the fixture.
· When you call to ship a box, order another to have available.
· If a lamp is accidentally broken you can still put it in the box. Up to 10 (ten) broken lamps are allowed to be shipped. Please add some additional packaging to the box so that it fits snugly when shipped.
· A certificate of recycling will be provided by the disposal company. This document should be sent directly to the Facilities Department but if it is sent to your school by mistake, please scan and forward to Trevor Turner at tturner@horrycountyschools.net.
· If a box is damaged and cannot be shipped do not order a new box. Contact your clerk so that a replacement will be sent to you and the damaged box should be recycled.
· Ensure the container is full before shipping. You have paid for a full container of lamps to be disposed of. Make the most of it.
