A traffic light will be added at this intersection to enable safer and easier access to Highway 89 from Harvest Parkway. This is needed because of traffic increases due to growth, as well as the opening of a new middle school on the east side of Highway 89, northeast of Harvest Park.
UDOT will complete the work. In order to allow for equipment installation, the HOA needs to transfer ownership of two small parcels to the city (one of 257 sq. ft., and the other of 166 sq. ft.).
Those parcels are identified and described in the diagram below.
These will be standard stop lights mounted on arms supported by posts, one at each corner. The posts and mounts will be finished in black, rather than unfinished metal. The work will also involve adjustments to the crosswalk locations. UDOT will also manage all landscape and infrastructure repair and restoration. The stop lights will not impact the entry monument.
Work is expected to be completed during the summer of 2021.
